Common questions

Does my pet need to wear anything?
No. Walks are recorded by the GPS in the walker's iPhone.

Can it find my dog if they run off?
No. Leash Posse records walks while a person carries their phone. It doesn't locate a pet on its own.

Is the AI scan medical advice?
No. Scan results are AI insights only, not veterinary advice. Talk to your vet about health concerns.

How do I share with my family?
Open Settings in the app and invite people with a link. Everyone in the family sees the same pets, walks, and logs.

How do I remove someone from my family?
Whoever created the family can open Settings → Family and tap Remove next to that person. They lose access to the family's pets, logs, photos, and walks right away, and any invite links stop working. If the creator leaves, the next longest-standing member can remove people.

I sent an invite link to the wrong person.
Open Settings → Family → Cancel invite links. Any family member can do this. Links otherwise expire after 7 days.

What's the difference between family and the Pack?
Family is the people who share your pets, like a partner, roommates, or a dog walker. They see all your pets, logs, photos, and walks. The Pack is your pet's friends: other pets and their families. They see your pet's walks and reactions, and only what you choose to share with a trusted friend.

What do friends see?
Your pet's walks (time and distance) and reactions. Routes, places, and potty logs only if you turn them on for a trusted friend. Live location only during a playdate walk.

How do I remove or block a friend?
Open the Pack tab, tap the friend, then tap Unfriend or Block.

Not getting notifications?
Check iPhone Settings → Notifications → Leash Posse, and in the app, Settings → Notifications.

How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. You can also email us and we'll delete it for you.
